RESPONSE REQUIRED BY 13/04/2020. PLEASE SEE BELOW WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROPOSAL THAT COULD AFFECT KENTISBEARE AND BLACKBOROUGH
Draft recommendations for new electoral arrangements for Mid Devon District Council.
The draft recommendations propose that:
- Mid Devon should be represented by 42 councillors, the same number as present
- Mid Devon should have 21 wards, three fewer than there are now
- The boundaries of all wards should change
Currently Kentisbeare and Blackborough are combined as Cullompton Outer; the current proposal is for the Blackborough area to be placed in to the Upper Culm Ward, and for Kentisbeare to be in the Lower Culm Ward.
The proposed changes can be viewed via an interactive map which shows existing and proposed boundaries. Comments and suggestions for alternative boundaries can be entered via the Commissions Consultations Portal.
