Once again we were blessed with kind weather on Christmas Eve and what a party we had in Kentisbeare Village Square!

 

Over 400 people were entertained by carols from the Wyndham Singers, the school children singing Christmas songs and two great numbers from the cast of the recent production of Scrooge. David Beazley, of Sainthill Baptist Church, celebrated his Christmas message with everybody.

At approximately 18.40 hrs, Flight FC 2016 was cleared for landing on Rectory Road by Exeter Air Traffic Control. A few minutes later Father Christmas, with two elves on his sleigh, was drawn by 9 reindeer to the Wyndham Arms and handed out goodies to all the children. 

A HUGE THANK YOU to everybody who helped in any way for the daytime setting it up or on the night (BBQ staff, Can Rattlers, Traffic Wardens, Performers, Elves, Reindeer, Singers and not forgetting the Projector Operator). The event could not take place without your assistance. 

A massive sum of £596.70 was raised for Hospiscare on the night. We would like to thank our sponsor, Watsons Fuels and also to the generous donor who provided the money to buy the sausages.
